Getting Here


Northern Ireland has three main airports:  City of Derry Airport,  Belfast International Airport and George Best City Airport. You can fly here in less than an hour with flights from most big UK cities, including: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, East Midland, Bristol, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. There are also direct flights from over twenty European cities and a number of North American locations.

Local firm Airporter provide a direct link bus service to and from all three Northern Ireland airports to Derry~Londonderry.


Northern Ireland is easily accessed by sea with crossings from both Scotland and England. Travel by state of the art superfast ferries with journey times from just 2 hours 15 minutes. Operators and travel times vary. Please check out  Stena Line,  P&O Irish Sea and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company for travel options. Stena Line operates services to Dublin from Holyhead and Irish Ferries offers up to 12 daily crossings from Holyhead to Dublin.

Bus & Rail

Getting to Derry~Londonderry is easy with a half hourly Goldline 212 coach service from Belfast Europa Bus Centre.  For travel from Dublin, the Goldline 274/Bus Eireann 33 coach service operates daily to Derry~Londonderry.  Ulsterbus Foyle provides regular city services, whilst regional Ulsterbus services operate from towns such as Omagh, Strabane, Coleraine.

Translink will also provide bus and rail services to specific events during 2013.
